Carry On Luggage Questions What types of bag(s) are you allowed to CARRY ON Greyhound buses with you?

Since I know Greyhound is notorious for losing luggage, I plan to carry on my luggage. What types of bags are acceptable to carry on with you? Are those small luggage bags on wheels fine to bring on board with you? I know their website says you can only bring one bag aboard with you, however do they really enforce this or can I bring a small backpack (size of a woman’s purse) along also?

Carry-on bags must fit in the overhead compartment or under your seat.

Obvsiously, people on Greyhound busses carry bags of weed, bags of coke, bags of heroin. You can carry a marker in case you want to tag also.

Seriously though, they allow backpacks or anything you can hold in your lap in addition to the carry on bag. It is similar to what plane’s allow.

You can bring purse size bag and a standard size backpack on board with you. However always keep this in mind… the buss driver is “god” on that buss. He/She can do whatever they want. They are use to dealing with ghetto type people all day every day. Greyhound is like a rolling homeless shelter in the eastern half of the US. Take as little as you can so as not to have to check anything under the buss. Keep and eye on your bags. Be careful. I almost always travel with a fanny pack and and a medium size backpack and check nothing under the buss.

Just make sure you take a book. I made the mistake of making a bus trip to Pensacola Flordia. Man did it take forever and ever to get there.
